The next day, they go to play with the dinosaurs, but they are not in the dinosaur bucket. So your kids dump the toys on the floor again.
You think the solution is to get more baskets and bins. The kids get even more confused.
Kids decide to sit in front of the TV where they are entertained quickly and easily because getting the toys they want is too confusing.

Here's My {Toy} Story
I remember getting ready to move to our new home and realizing I had too many toys when the movers asked if I owned a toy store.
As a Mom and professional toy expert, I had tons of toys, and I mean TONS! They were all organized by theme on shelves, in closets and buckets and bins. However, I noticed my kids rarely played. It was frustrating to think the toys were gathering dust.
There were so many toys, they were hard to find. It reminded me of shopping at Toys R Us and how long it would take to pick out a toy because there were so many choices on the shelves.
It seemed like everyday a toy was 'battery dead' because the kids hadn't played with it. Toys given as gifts that weren't in their interest were in buckets and bins. It got to the point that my kids stopped playing and became tablet zombies!
Our Toys Were Causing Stress and Not Any Solutions!
Even though I deal with hundreds of toys every year - both personally and professionally, I knew that toy organization was NOT the answer to getting kids to play and having a tidy playspace.
Because everything was behind closed doors, in a basket or a drawer.
As the saying goes, "Out of Sight, Out of Mind."
I knew I needed a sustainable storage system that brought sophistication to my home as well as play solutions for my kids, so I decided to do something revolutionary.
I started calling the playroom, “Our Playce.” I got rid of the toy storage and made the playroom itself the storage room. In other words, Our Playce is based on the idea that the toys we keep in the house must adapt to our space - physically, mentally and developmentally.
We don't need to make space for them. The toys need to make space for us. Toys need to be a part of our life and not take over it. The toys need to be in the room and not stored outside it.
